Donald E. Malone

	Donald E. Malone, 79, of Harrisburg, formerly of DuQuoin, passed away  at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2002 at his home.
	Mr. Malone was  a coal miner and a member of First Baptist Church in DuQuoin.  He was a U.S. Army and Navy veteran of WW II.
	He was born February 4, 1923 in DuQuoin, the son of Ransom and Mary (Henderson) Malone.  He married Beulah Davis on December 10, 1949 at Marion and she preceded him in death in 1977.
	Surviving are four sons, Gene Davis and wife Twila of DuQuoin, Donald Davis of Harrisburg, Jerry Malone and wife Terry of Harrisburg and Billy Malone and wife Joyce of Harrisburg; three daughters, Mary Motsinger and husband Rick of Benton, Frances Lagrand of Harrisburg and Debbie Barger of Harrisburg; one brother, Tom Malone of Santa Barbara, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
	He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son , one brother and one sister.
	Funeral services were Tuesday, April 23 at 1 p.m. at Neal-McClure Memorial Chapel in DuQuoin with Rev. Marty Shadowen officiating.  Interment was in the IOOF Cemetery in DuQuoin.
	Friends called at Neal-McClure Funeral Home on Monday, April 22 from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 7:30 a.m. until time of service.
	Graveside military rites were conducted by the DuQuoin VFW and American Legion.
